Here, you'll find a number of the most frequently asked event rental questions that we receive at Games on Wheels. If you don't find the answers you need, please call us at (773)629-0887 and we will be happy to help.
QUESTION: How do I do this? How do I look into booking a party?
ANSWER: Use the “Check Dates/Book Now” page and send in your date time and we’ll respond letting you know if it is available. Just confirm and that’s it!
QUESTION: How do I know the trailer can come to my house?
ANSWER: Our drivers are excellent and can go nearly anywhere. As long as your driveway or street isn’t a very sharp hill, we can come. Otherwise, you can divert us to a nearby park, church or parking lot!
QUESTION: Will the kids know what to do?
ANSWER: That’s why we bring our Game Coach! He/She helps the kids along, inspires and instructs. We make sure it’s the party of the year!
QUESTION: Should I be concerned about the types of games for kids?
ANSWER: If you have such concerns, inform the Game Coach upon arrival and he/she will
make sure that the gaming is appropriate. Otherwise, he/she will follow the lead of the guest(s) of honor and make sure they are having the time of their lives!
QUESTION: What about bad weather?
ANSWER: We come rain, shine, temps below freezing or over 100 degrees — we are climate controlled! As long as it is safe for us to drive.
QUESTION: What time should I make the party?
ANSWER: We suggest that you tell your guests that the party is one hour or half-hour before our arrival time — that way they eat first & they all see the grand arrival of our mobile video game theater!
QUESTION: What if too many people show up to the party? Is there an extra charge?
ANSWER: Certainly not! Bring them on! We’ll keep them all having fun!
QUESTION: Do I request certain games?
ANSWER: We always bring the full game library to every event and your Game Coach will listen to and make suggestions to make your event successful. We do request that if you want “M” rated games you send us an e-mail or list them in the comments section when booking.
QUESTION: Do I tip the Game Coach?
ANSWER: The Game Coach is there to make sure that your group is making the most of our high-tech fun. He/she tutors, inspires and entertains. Tipping for service is a great idea, but not required.
QUESTION: Do I have to pay for the party in advance?
ANSWER: Our reservations go quickly. In order to hold your booking, you must pay on line or arrange to drop your payment with us. Otherwise, your date and time is still open for booking by others. Please call to discuss if your organization or situation is an exception and we can talk about options.
QUESTION: What time will you be arriving?
ANSWER: The Game Coach arrives in plenty of time to be setup and start your party at the designated start time. For the first party of the day we will arrive atleast 1 hour early.
Q: Does the price include set up and delivery?
A: There is no charge for set. However, additional fees may apply for delivery service area.
Q: Do you deliver to other cities?
A: Yes, but once again, please be aware delivery fees may apply.
Q: Does the standard rental time include set up time?
A: No. We arrive early to set up so you get the entire rental time to play.
Q: When do you set up?
A: That depends on how many rentals we have that day. Generally, we arrive half hour to four hours before the rental time begins. If we have a lot of rentals that day, we may need to set up as early as four hours in advance. If this is the case, we will call at least 24 hours before your event to confirm that someone will be at the party location.
Q: We've rented some really dirty jumps from other companies in the past. Are they always that dirty?
A: No. Games On Wheels cleans and disinfects after every rental. If we are super busy and the inflatables have been rented and used all weekend, we will clean your inflatable on-site before you use it. We make it our mission to provide you with clean, safe, rentals 100 percent of the time.
Q: Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?
A: Yes. A blower keeps air in the inflatable unit the entire time. Once unplugged, the inflatable will deflate. That's why we require an outlet within 100 feet of the unit, or a generator. Longer cords can pop your circuit breaker, so we supply you with our own heavy duty cords.
Q: What about setting up in parks? Do parks have electricity?
A: We love setting up at Illinois Park Districts, Cook County, and DuPage County forest preserves, but most parks do NOT have electricity. If you want to set up at a park or forest preserve you must rent a generator. We rent generators at a reasonable cost, and they can be found in the tables/chairs section. You will also need a certificate of insurance, which we provide for a $45.00 fee.
Q: What payments do you take?
A: At Bounce Houses R Us, we accept cash, as well as all major credit cards. We do take company checks, park district checks, and checks from churches. If paying by cash, please have exact change, as our drivers do not carry cash.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes, all orders require a $50-$200 credit or debit card deposit.
Q: What surfaces do you set up on?
A: We can set up on grass (our favorite and best for the kids), asphalt, and concrete. For asphalt and concrete set ups, you will need to order a sandbag rig. We cannot set up on any type of rock, as the constant rubbing may wear through the vinyl material.
Q: Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or is damaged in any way?
A: That depends. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units. While we frequently inspect our units, seams may develop tears in high-traffic areas. If this happens, please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation. If, however, damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence (i.e. not turning off the blower in high winds) you will be responsible for all damages, including replacement of the inflatable, blower, and any other necessary parts. We don't want you or us to be in that situation, which is why we have you sign and initial on all of our safety rules, allowing you to be the trained operator.
